This craft is very easy to make and I liked for this Christmas,I write here what is necessary so that you make it, I've done it in the school and the child liked them. 

Materials:

card-stock paper

crayons or markers

scissors

tape

1.  Print these adorable free patterns from "Catholic Icing" on card-stock paper and have your little ones color them.

2. Cut out the shapes

3. Roll the cut-outs into tubes and tape the back edges together (I fold the tape over the edges).

VOLCANO

There is so much children can learn by doing science experiments at home. They don’t need to be complicated, they can be easy science experiments for kids with things you already have in your kitchen. 

For this experiment you’ll need:

Empty plastic bottle

Dough for your volcano

Water

2 TB Baking Soda

Vinegar

Food Coloring

6 Drops of Dish Soap

First make your dough for your volcano, I got my recipe here. Once you have your dough you mold a volcano around your empty plastic bottle. I put our volcano in a baking dish to contain the mess since we are doing it indoors.

Your volcano should look something like this. Be sure not to cover the opening of the bottle.Next careful fill the bottle with warm water and food coloring of your choice. For more realistic colors use orange and red. Next add the dish soap which helps trap the bubbles produced by the reaction so you get more bubbly lava. Add your baking soda and then slowly poor in the vinegar…

Snowman

For this activity you will need:

Snowman foam shape
Chocolate chips for “coal”
Pipe cleaner for nose and arms

This Activity:

Promotes fine motor skills
Enahnces math skills such as counting and quantity
Builds vocabulary
Teaches holiday themes and concepts

We used chocolate chips to make eyes and mouth and buttons. We counted them as we laid them down. Then we added pipe cleaner for the nose and arms.This was such as simple and fun snowman activity for winter or Christmas.

DIY FREE SANTA CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN ADVENT CALENDAR

On Christmas eve you will have made santa’s beard complete and he’ll be arriving the next morning.

I hope you have fun counting down the days to Christmas. I’m pledging to relax and enjoy them all, I think the suspense and time catching up with friends and family is the most important, I don’t want us to wish away the time at all, it’s such a special time of year. A time for friends and family and remembering all the ones we wish could be here too.

THANKSGIVING

Celebrate on: Fourth Thursday in November

Thanksgiving Day is the fourth Thursday in November, but many Americans take a day of vacation on the following Friday to make a four-day weekend, during which they may travel long distances to visit family and friends.

The holiday dates back to 1621, the year after the Puritans arrived in Massachusetts, determined to practice their dissenting religion without interference. After a rough winter, in which about half of them died, they turned for help to neighboring Indians, who taught them how to plant corn and other crops. The next fall's bountiful harvest inspired the Pilgrims to give thanks by holding a feast.

The Thanksgiving feast became a national tradition — not only because so many other Americans have found prosperity but also because the Pilgrims' sacrifices for their freedom still captivate the imagination.

To this day, Thanksgiving dinner almost always includes some of the foods served at the first feast: roast turkey, cranberry sauce, potatoes, pumpkin pie. Before the meal begins, families or friends usually pause to give thanks for their blessings, including the joy of being united for the occasion.

Halloween crafts

Halloween means "All hallow's eve", Word that comes from the old English, and that means 'eve of all Saints', since it refers to the night of 31 October, eve of the feast of all saints.
In Hallowe'en ' in (all hallow's eve), literally the eve of all saints, the Anglo-Saxon legend says that it is easy to see witches and ghosts. Children dress up and go - with a candle inserted in a gutted pumpkin in which incisions are made to form a skull - from House to House. When you open the door screaming: "trick or treat" (joke or gift) to indicate that they will spend a joke whom no them a kind of gratuity or bonus in sweets or money.

You're craft can be made in the classroom and are very easy and very cheap to make, you need:
 - Sish and glass of toilet colours
 -Painting
 -Cardboard
 -Toilet paper
 - Straws (for the legs of the spider)

The weather

Children sometimes confuse the weather, I think that this activity is very simple and will learn a lot

Firstly, cut all the solid black lines including the holes and slits.
We ‘laminated’ small parts by covering them with clear tape so they don’t tear when used.
Making the movable arrow for the weather dial
1. Push the pivot through the small hole as shown below.



2. Now pass it through the hole in the red arrow. (We covered the surface of the arrow with clear tape before cutting the hole in the middle, folded the sides to give it a thickness and wrapped with more tape.)



3. Put a dab of glue on top of the pivot and attach the black pivot cover. Check if the arrow is moving smoothly. Done!


Making the sliding frame for the wind chart
1. Cut the 2 solid lines above and below ‘calm/breezy/windy’ on the main page.
Cut out the small blue frame shape (again, we ‘laminated’ the surface with clear tape) and cut all the solid lines to make 2 ‘flaps’ inside the blue frame. Push the white ‘flaps’ behind the cut strip on the main page. Put a small piece of tape at the back. Check if the frame moves left and right.


Making the temperature arrow slider
1. Cut the solid lines on the main page and weave the shape ‘A’ (marked on the template) through the slits so the black arrows show on the front as in the photo.



2. Turn the page over and on the rear side fold the sides of the shape ‘A’ over the strips towards the middle and glue the ends to secure. Don’t fold over the edges too tightly or get glue on the inside strip (it won’t move!). Check if it moves along the strip smoothly.



3. Now apply glue all over the back of it as shown.



4. And attach the shape ‘B’ print-side down.



4. Turn the page over and pull out the sides of shape ‘B’ to the front. Fold them forwards so it’s easy to grab them. It should look just like this and move along the temperature slider up and down.






When you’ve finished assembling all the parts, you can mount your weather station on a piece of cardboard to make it sturdy and hang it on the wall. Make sure you avoid gluing the areas for the movable parts and apply glue only to the rest of the areas. Enjoy watching the weather!

BUILDING A CLOCK

We've officially wrapped up our main time telling lessons for a while, and we've simply been doing review. I may leave instructions in the kids journals for them, or I may print out a silly worksheet for them to tend to, or we play a fun time telling game. Either way, they've retained a good deal of what they know. Which means I can now find them reliable when I ask them to check the time for me, which happens quite often. Mainly because our new stove has no clock upon it. Not so cool when you must stand there and mix something for 2-3 minutes. I wanted to put that on my clock, which I tried to do with a few Crayola washables.

I've been looking for different ways to work the hours with children, and this is the idea that I most liked. I think it is a fun and easy way for children to learn the hours in English. This would be the end result.

Autumm trees

Autumn has come and trees are the first idea to decorate the classrooms of children, I propose to you that craft and therefore I leave here these fabulous trees very easy to make and my I have enjoyed. It is very easy children have to draw the tree trunk (with finger paints, waxes...) and Paste buttons in the branches. But beware! This activity is for children from 5 to 12 years, the smaller buttons can be swallowed. I hope you enjoy it.

In the classroom, one of the most important is that children have a series of routines that help them learn the months of the year, days of the week, seasons, weather that makes...It is very important that the concepts are clear and orderly and for them I present this craft that I found very useful and nice to work these concepts with the children.

AUTUMM

Children aged 3 to 5 years, feel a great curiosity and interest in observing the environment and what surrounds them. Discover the changes that occur in nature, with the arrival of the seasons, and the autumn is something very important in education.
